Free tasks
Goal
Flexibly assign extra tasks without editing a full calendar day.
For whom
Parents who want spontaneous tasks (chores, homework, bonus).
Where in the app
Nav Free tasks → /parent/free-tasks.
Prerequisites
Active child selected; signed in as parent.
Step by step
- Go to /parent/free-tasks via the main menu.
- Confirm the correct child is active in the child picker.
- Click Add task and enter title, optional icon and reward points.
- Optionally set a deadline or reminder.
- Save — the child sees the task on /child under today or in the free-task list.
- Check off as parent if needed, or let the child check off.
- Completed free tasks count toward weekly stars if points are set.
- Delete or edit open tasks via the pencil icon.
Options & settings
Free tasks do not auto-appear in calendar templates.

Use free tasks for one-off bonuses; fixed routines belong in Child calendar.
