Goal​

Automatically mark holiday days and align day types.

For whom​

Parents in BE, NL, DE, FR or other supported regions.

Where in the app​

/parent/settings or calendar Region & holidays panel.

Prerequisites​

Signed in as parent; active child selected.

Step by step​

  1. Open Settings (/parent/settings) or calendar settings.
  2. Find Region & holidays / School holidays.
  3. Pick country/region (e.g. Flanders, Netherlands, NRW).
  4. Save — calendar syncs holiday periods where available.
  5. Holiday days may auto-get holiday day type.
  6. Combine with auto-fill so school rules skip holidays.
  7. Check /parent/calendar — holidays visually marked.
  8. Adjust manually for non-standard school (intranet schedule).

Options & settings​

Not all regions have complete datasets — manual marking still possible.

Tips & troubleshooting​

Update region after moving — old holidays are not changed retroactively.
