Goal​

Visual consistency in calendar and child view.

For whom​

Parents of young children and children with reading difficulties.

Where in the app​

Task editor on /parent/calendar → icon picker.

Prerequisites​

Task or subtask in edit mode.

Step by step​

  1. Open task edit in the day editor.
  2. Click the icon field — library with categories opens.
  3. Pick an icon the child already knows (food, teeth, school bag).
  4. Optional: pick color or accent for quick recognition.
  5. Reuse the same icon for recurring tasks.
  6. Templates (blueprints) store icons for reuse.
  7. Child sees icons prominently on /child; title is secondary.

Options & settings​

Not every icon is equally clear in all cultures — test with your child.

Tips & troubleshooting​

Make a family set of 10–15 favorite icons and use them everywhere.
