Goal​

Visual distinction and template logic per day type.

For whom​

Parents with varying weekly schedules.

Where in the app​

Day editor on /parent/calendar → pick Day type.

Prerequisites​

Calendar day open in edit mode.

Step by step​

  1. Open a day in /parent/calendar.
  2. Find the Day type field (school day, weekend, holiday, etc.).
  3. Pick the matching type — color or icon in month view may change.
  4. Day types can link to weekly rules and templates.
  5. Holidays: combine with Region & holidays for automatic marking.
  6. Save the day; type persists when copying unless overwritten.
  7. Use consistent types for better auto-fill and bulk actions.

Options & settings​

Custom day types may vary per family depending on server config.

Tips & troubleshooting​

Align day types with school schedule — child recognizes school vs weekend visually on /child.
