Timers & rewards

Goal​

Child uses timers independently and sees rewards.

For whom​

Children with timer tasks in daily plan.

Where in the app​

/child — timer button on task; rewards tab.

Prerequisites​

Parent configured timers/stars.

Step by step​

  1. Open task with timer icon on /child.
  2. Tap Start timer — countdown visible.
  3. On finish: alarm sound and vibration (Android app), even when app is closed.
  4. Tap Stop alarm on notification or in app to complete the task.
  5. Stars credited on completion (parent rules).
  6. Open Rewards to see balance and redeem.
  7. Parent adjusts timer duration in calendar — not on child screen.

Options & settings​

Android: timer uses system alarm (AlarmManager) — allow exact alarms in settings. Browser: timer only while tab is open.

Tips & troubleshooting​

Short timers (2–5 min) work better for young children.
