Goal​

Tablet without wifi or weak connection stays usable.

For whom​

Children with Android app or PWA cache.

Where in the app​

/child — automatically offline-capable where supported.

Prerequisites​

Previously synced today's tasks in cache.

Step by step​

  1. Install Android app for best offline (Capacitor cache).
  2. Open /child at least once online — tasks load to cache.
  3. Without network: app shows cached Today.
  4. Check-offs stored locally.
  5. With internet: background sync to routineassist.com.
  6. Conflicts: server-wins or merge per server — latest check-off usually counts.
  7. Parent sees sync delay in history after reconnect.

Options & settings​

Timers may run offline; duration syncs on reconnect.

Tips & troubleshooting​

Sync before handing tablet if parent changed tasks while offline.
