Push notifications

Goal​

Stay reachable without open app.

For whom​

Parents with Android app and notifications enabled.

Where in the app​

Android OS permissions + /parent/settings → Notifications.

Prerequisites​

App installed; Google Play Services/Firebase if project configures.

Step by step​

  1. Install Android app (see Install app).
  2. On first start: allow notifications in Android dialog.
  3. In app: /parent/settings → Notifications → enable categories.
  4. Test with chat message or agenda reminder.
  5. No alerts? Check Android app notification settings (not blocked).
  6. Battery saver may delay push — exempt Routine Assist.
  7. Child mode typically does not push to parent — parent app separate.
